There is so much to see here. Take your time, look around, and learn all there is to know about MTR. We hope you will consider joining us on a future ride. Please take a moment to drop us a line to let us know if you would like to be added to our email list.
A camping with your horse event. Everyone arrives Thursday and sets up their own camp area within our large camping area. Friday and Saturday morning we provide hot breakfast with cowboy coffee daily. Every day we have scheduled guided round trip horseback rides from camp. Every evening we provide dinner under the big tent. Everyday there are many fun activities planned but you are not obligated to participate. We would love for you to consider joining us and invite your friends! Sunday, after a short morning ride, we tear down camp, and everyone is excited to return the following year!
We take care of many things, but not everylittle thing is included. Here are a few things we DO to make your camping life easier.
*We provide Portable restrooms around camp to handle what portable restrooms handle.
*Handwashing stations are also provided courtesy of Stamback Services.
*We provide fresh water delivered to your campsite area once daily for your horses, so you do not have to carry water very far.
*We provide a large tent to get under for some shade or get out of the rain depending on the weather.
*We provide tables and chairs under the big tent for eating times or around the group campfire if we have one.
*We provide hot cowboy coffee every morning and hot hearty breakfast on Friday and Saturday morning.
*We provide delicious hearty dinner every night.
*We provide nightly entertainment, unless there is a last-minute cancelation at which time, we will do our best to entertain you.
*We provide a relaxing environment to catch up with old friends and meet some new ones!
*MTR does NOT provide - Shelter for you to sleep nor shower facilities. We suggest you bring a tent, camper, LQ or Tepee, sleeping bag and extra blankets. Consider renting a camper or ask your neighbor if you can borrow theirs.
*MTR does NOT provide - Containment for your horse. We suggest you bring portable corrals or high tie line, remember tall trees can be sparse in Southern Arizona so be sure to bring a LONG rope.
*MTR does NOT provide - Food for your lunch or snacks.
*MTR does NOT provide or serve alcohol or alcoholic beverages. We usually have plenty of bottled water. And you are welcome to bring your own beverage of choice.
*MTR does NOT promise to have ice, but sometimes we do. Bring your own to be safe.
*MTR does NOT provide horses to ride or rentals horses. We suggest you bring your own horse or rent a horse from the horse rental company that we recommend. Ultimately horse rental is YOURS, and that agreement is between you and the horse rental company you choose.
*MTR does NOT provide Safety HELMETS. You should consider wearing one when you are riding. Horses can be unpredictable, and we promote safety FIRST!
*MTR does NOT guarantee you will have fun but unless you're a rock you will!
Without doubt it was a hot one! Not only in the weather, but the fun was out of control, the rides were absolutely amazing, the equine costume contest out of this world, the World renown one of a Kind Gymkhana was indeed the first of it’s kind, the food, the friendships, the camping, the band, and the hot, hot dancing was without debate the hottest ever.
The silent auction brought in record numbers so thankful for all our riders and sponsors that support this ride with open hearts and wallets.
And the helpers! We have the best friends/volunteers/workers/and helpers anyone could ever ask for!
Oh and have I mentioned the flood of awesome photos! Keep watching I will be posting them all eventually with different stories, themes, and moments that were captured daily, moment by moment! Did i mention ya’ll are the best!
till next posts! Hugs to you all!
