We accept as much or as little as you choose to donate. When you make a donation you get a very special thank you from all of us. Remember no one makes money on this ride. All monies collected are used to pay for the necessities and the rest is donated to the ranchers charity of choice. Because of your generosity we've been able to buy the big tent, tables and chairs, and other necessary items from table cloths to water buffalo's. The donations help keep the registration fees low. Please let us know if you would like to support the MTR in some fashion The ride is getting better every year and that's because of all of you and your participation helping make the Mesquite Trail Ride the best ride in Southern Arizona.
“Money makes the world go round; however, happiness greases the axle. Without this lubricant, life will seize.” ― Paul Van Der Merwe
Due to the circumstances of time simplified ride books may or may not be available. A good idea is to bring your own little notebook to get the contact info from the new folks you meet and want to stay in touch with.
This item has been generously supported by many. It's a time we all come together before dinner to hang out and share war stories. It's pretty basic bring the fun. Remember these games by Jamie last year! .
This is one of those things we have to have. We have the rental connection we just are looking for someone to pay the bill. Sponsor one or all. Think of the glory you'll receive by providing these comfort stations.
Is your pocket book full to the brim, Mesquite Trail Ride can help with that!
Business Banner Sponsor! When we buy stuff for the ride we keep it for the ride however there are many items that must be purchased year after year and replaced occasionally. Leather for lanyards, tent trailer tires have to be replaced, toilet paper, solo cups, water, ice, napkins, paper plates, plastic utensils, propane gas for the grills. The list goes on and on. Thank you all for supporting the MTR in the past and let us know if you would like to support the MTR in some fashion this year
We love our raffles. We so appreciate all donations in past years and realize the items just keep getting better and better. This is a fun event because everyone contributes. You bring it we raffle it. We are looking for high quality items that someone else would want for themselves and would be willing to contribute more than it's worth. In fact that is the definition of a excellent raffle item. So feel free to bring your good stuff!

These chores take commitment and hard labor. Not for the faint of heart!
This is the tent, it's big, it's bulky and it's usually a very warm day. It takes a lot of muscle pounding tent stakes is no joke. If your very strong, used to working in the heat and not afraid of sore muscles this is the job for you. This is a carefully planned event so if you're interested please contact us for more information about when and if help is needed.
Everyday and sometimes twice a day depending on the weather, we fill the water buffalo and take water to all the campsite that need water for their horses. It's a fun job because you get to visit with every camp site and get to know all the folks. It's a little technical driving and pulling a trailer not to mention filling the water buffalo, starting the water pump and filling the buckets.
Oh the joys of camping! Yes... they have to be cleaned. Thankful everyone is usually pretty neat but we check them daily to refill the paper and make sure nothing is nasty. We provide the wipes and the gloves and the refill supplies.
Daily chores that must be done to keep us all happy and safe!
This chore is two parts. The first part involves cleaning the big commercial coffee pot that we provide and getting it ready to turn on in the early morning. Because it takes a while to brew we suggest you get up at 4:30am to start the generator and turn on the coffee pot. Do you like early mornings?
This chore starts when we put up the tables but then every evening after the party ends or early the next morning before the breakfast crowd arrives we gather and straighten the chairs and wipe the tables.
While we have been so fortunate to have Roni join us on many rides she can't be everywhere all the time. So if you take excellent pictures during the ride please share them with us. We'd love to show off your photographs on our Website, Facebook or Instagram pages.
This is just a short list of the to do's around camp. Please if you see something that needs attention bring it to our attention or if you're able to take care of it safely we won't turn down your assistance. Thank you to all who do this on a regular basis!
