All monies collected from registration to auction item payments are used to pay for the necessities and a generous amount is donated to the rancher owners' charity of choice. Because of your past generosity we've been able to buy the big tent, tables and chairs, and other necessary items from tablecloths to water buffalos to the trailer tires. The donations help keep the registration fees low. This ride is getting better every year and that's because of all of you and your participation helping make the Mesquite Trail Ride the best ride in Southern Arizona.
These books are handy to keep in your shirt pocket or back pocket. The ranch info, riders' names and info and schedule, rules and other bits of info are printed every year. They make a lovely souvenir or address book for your new friends.
This item has been generously supported by many. It's a time we all come together before dinner to hang out and share war stories. It's pretty basic bring the fun. Remember these games by Jamie last year!
This is one of those things we have to have. We have the rental connection we just are looking for someone to pay the bill. Sponsor one or all. Think of the glory you'll receive by providing these comfort stations.
Business Banner Sponsor! When we buy stuff for the ride,we keep it for the ride however there are many items that must be purchased year after year and replaced occasionally. Leather for lanyards, tent trailer tires have to be replaced, toilet paper, solo cups, water, ice, napkins, paper plates, plastic utensils, propane gas for the grills. The list goes on and on. Thank you all for supporting the MTR in the past and let us know if you would like to support the MTR in some fashion this year
We love our silent auction. We so appreciate all donations in past years and realize the items just keep getting better and better. This is a fun event because everyone contributes. You bring it we silent auction it. We are looking for high quality items that someone else would want for themselves and would be willing to contribute more than it's worth. And if more than one person wants it even better, which creates the fun bidding stuff. So please bring your good stuff!
These special engraved Prizes are given to our Grand Champion, Reserve Champion and Spirit Award Riders. For their participation and riding abilities.
*We realize not everyone is competitive, but everyone wants a buckle so, if you are interested in purchasing a 2022 Mesquite Trail Ride buckle or key chain to commemorate the ride this year, please contact Brenda@mesquitetrailride.com.
These chores take commitment and hard labor. Not for the faint of heart!
This is the tent, it's big, it's bulky and it's usually a very warm day. It takes a lot of muscle pounding tent stakes is no joke. If your very strong, used to working in the heat and not afraid of sore muscles this is the job for you. This is a carefully planned event so if you're interested please contact us for more information about when and if help is needed.
Everyday and sometimes twice a day depending on the weather, we fill the water buffalo and take water to all the campsite that need water for their horses. It's a fun job because you get to visit with every camp site and get to know all the folks. It's a little technical driving and pulling a trailer not to mention filling the water buffalo, starting the water pump and filling the buckets.
Oh the joys of camping! Yes... they have to be cleaned. Thankful everyone is usually pretty neat but we check them daily to refill the paper and make sure nothing is nasty. We provide the wipes and the gloves and the refill supplies.
Daily chores that must be done to keep us all happy and safe!
This chore is two parts. The first part involves cleaning the big commercial coffee pot that we provide and getting it ready to turn on in the early morning. Because it takes a while to brew, we suggest you get up at 4:30am to start the generator and turn on the coffee pot. Do you like early mornings?
This chore starts when we put up the tables but then every evening after the party ends or early the next morning before the breakfast crowd arrives, we gather and straighten the chairs and wipe the tables.
We are so appreciative of those that have stepped up to help in this capacity the last couple of years. I would call you all by name but wouldn't want to miss anyone. Thank you We truly Appreciate YOU!
If you take pictures during the ride, please consider sharing them with us. We'd love to show off your photographs on our Website, Facebook or Instagram pages.
Or if you are a professional photographer who rides and has a horse and you have a desire to take professional photographs for the ride let us know, maybe we can work a deal.
*This is just a short list of the chores around camp. Please if you see something that needs attention bring it to our attention or if you're able to take care of it safely we won't turn down your assistance. Thank you to all who do this on a regular basis!
